Lubbock SketchClub was founded in October of 2006 by Professional
comic book artist and freelance Illustrator Will
Terrell. The club has over 300 members, with 50-60 active members
at any given time.
The SketchClub meets every Saturday night from 7-10 pm at
Freebirds World Burrito, to draw and hang out. There is no fee to
join, just bring your sketchbook and be prepared to have fun.

SKETCHNIGHTS
We meet every Saturday of the month at Freebirds World Burrito in
Lubbock starting at 7 p.m. The club currently includes comic book
artists, cartoonists, illustrators, painters and fine artists and
artists of any ability level are welcome. Activities include one-hour
comics, trading sketches, comic- jams, draw-offs and other creative
exercises. The club is free to join, and members experience the
benefits of sharing with and drawing inspiration from other artists.
The Lubbock Sketch Club is in its' second
year of operation and believes that the key to its success is to
get artists to draw like kids again. Freebirds World Burrito is

the Lubbock SketchClub figure-drawing group meets every Wednesday
from 7 - 10 pm at their studio in the HopeShalom / Asbury Methodist
church(20th and Ave T). All skill levels are invited, easels and
chairs are provided, artists will need to bring their own drawing
supplies though. The model fee is $5 per week or $16 for the month.
